The Shon Jacket is tailored properly and then made of the wrong thing on purpose. Peak lapels, a single button and a waist that is genuinely cut in, with flap pockets at the hip and a welt at the chest. The pile runs smooth under the hand one way and catches the other, and the small amount of give in it is what lets the waist be cut this close and still sit easily across a whole evening. In wool this shape is a blazer. In velvet the light collects on the shoulder and runs down the lapel, and it reads as evening instead. Espresso rather than black softens the tailoring, and sits warmer against the skin under a low light. Wear it with the Shon Velvet Pants as a suit.
